Alex joined the Tasmanian Bar in 2026 following more than a decade at a highly respected civil litigation firm. His core practice is insurance litigation, complemented by extensive experience in estate, property, employment, debt, legal costs, and professional conduct matters.
He maintains a strong interest in Tasmanian administrative and criminal law. With qualifications and experience in STEM, Alex is particularly sought after in cases involving complex scientific, engineering, medical, and technical evidence.
In 2025, Alex was honoured with the Tasmania Legal Aid Award for his contribution to the civil law programmes of Tasmania Legal Aid. He also serves on the Litigation Committee of the Law Society of Tasmania, is a member of the Civil Disbursement Fund Committee, and contributes as a reporter for the Tasmania Reports.
