Jennifer graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts and Law with First Class Honours in Law. She was the recipient of a National Undergraduate Scholarship and the Tasmania Honours Scholarship and various academic prizes. Following admission to the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 2011, Jennifer served as Associate to the Hon Justice Middleton in the Federal Court of Australia.

Before coming to the Bar, Jennifer practised as a solicitor for over 10 years, first at a national firm in Melbourne and then at Dobson Mitchell Allport in Hobart. She has experience in a broad range of commercial, civil and administrative matters.

She has appeared in the Federal Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Tasmania, including the Full Court (both led and unled) and in the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, particularly the resource and planning stream.  

Jennifer was junior counsel for the State of Tasmania in Tasmania’s first class action (JC & Ors v State of Tasmania).  She is a member of the Law Council of Australia’s Class Action Committee.  Jennifer is secretary and treasurer of the Tasmanian Bar Council and a law reporter for the Tasmanian Law Reports.
