In 2019, Matthew was one of Australia’s civil society representatives to the UN Human Rights Council. He is a Senior Fellow at Monash University Law Faculty’s Eleos Justice initiative.
Matthew is a board member of the Capital Punishment Justice Project and a delegate to the Steering Committee of the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty.
