Michael advises and appears in matters involving complex litigation, alternative dispute resolution including mediation, expert determination, and arbitration. The majority of Michael’s matters involve complex issues of expert evidence. He has a keen interest in developing an appropriate litigation strategy with both the necessary expert evidence and the commercial interests of his clients front of mind.
Michael appears both led and unled in State and Federal Courts, Tribunals, Arbitration and Expert Determinations.
Michael is a nationally accredited mediator through the Victorian Bar and accepts briefs to mediate all types of commercial disputes. He also accepts instructions to act as facilitator in expert conclaves.
Michael is a co-author of the 5th and 6th Editions of Brooking on Building Contracts. He has published a number of articles, including in relation to substituted service, builders’ duties and matters relating to the Owners Corporations Act.
