Nathan has been admitted as a legal practitioner since 2010, commencing practice at the Queensland Bar in 2019.

Nathan regularly appears in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and State Courts, practicing predominantly in family law, domestic violence, criminal and civil law matters.

Nathan is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (FDRP) who is often requested to mediate in family law, civil, employment and estate disputes. In conducting mediations, Nathan prefers in-person alternative dispute resolution, however he also conducts a number of online mediations to ensure accessibility and comfort of the parties.

Prior to coming to the Bar, Nathan served as an Infantry Officer and Legal Officer in the Australian Defence Force and as a Constable in the Queensland Police Service.

Nathan completed his legal education and training at Bond University, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in criminology and international relations. He also holds an MBA which he completed at Charles Sturt University.

When not otherwise engaged in legal work, Nathan has a keen interest on assisting the development of the next generation of lawyers. He is a Sessional Academic at QUT and enjoys opportunities to meet and mentor law students. Nathan serves his local community as a member of the Rural Fire Service, is a keen motorcyclist, and considers himself a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu aficionado.
