Scott attained a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) at Deakin University in 2011 before commencing his legal career in 2013 at Thomson Geer Lawyers (formerly Herbert Geer Lawyers) where he acted for the Victorian WorkCover Authority and the Country Fire Authority.
Before coming to the Bar, Scott was Senior Legal Counsel at Macil Global providing specialised investigation services to private, corporate, insurance and government clients.
Prior to that, he was a Senior Associate at Russell Kennedy Lawyers representing the Victorian WorkCover Authority, and its authorised insurers, in workers compensation and common law disputes. He also worked as a Liability Specialist for Employers Mutual Limited (EML), determining workers compensation claims.
Scott has developed a broad personal injury practice at the Bar with experience in workers compensation, motor vehicle accident, public liability, medical negligence, historical sexual abuse and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) disputes.
In addition, Scott has appeared in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in parenting matters and the Magistrates Court of Tasmania in Child Safety disputes.
Outside of the law, Scott enjoys surfing, hiking, camping and lifting weights.
